Alternatively, stash office essentials in a purpose-built cupboard, complete with a desk and integrated task lighting. Then, at the end of the day, it can be shut away out of sight. If you work full time at home, its best to devote an entire space to the cause, as a cramped work area can be counterproductive. Consider converting a bedroom or the attic, both of which should be far enough from the hub of the house to be a quiet working environment.

The stone flooring in this neutral breakfast room is beautifully uneven, with dips and swirls, just as nature intended. Brick has also been used on the steps and left exposed, which adds to the rustic feel of the room. A whimsical figurative wallpaper sets the mood for a welcoming space. Artisan-crafted chairs in a polished or painted finish complement striped fabrics and weaves with geometrical patterns.

The accent wall that we have in here is not only pretty but functional. I love how contemporary this space actually looks - we are seeing a lot of edges in here - which could actually work in any house but this one seems different. I like the chairs, the buffet and dining table and the black things we see in here - the large planter, the drum pendant lamp and the large mirror! What do you say? Yay or nay?
